NOTES & CURIOSITIES
Through the keyhole

The solid brass keyhole on the outside of the shell lets you peek inside and have a look at the suspension mechanism. We’ll say more about that below. So you won’t find any secrets under the drumhead. Whatever you give to this instrument, it will return to you.

Suspension system

Respighi Drums has developed a suspension system for concert bass drums that has a number of advantages over a traditional system:

  • a completely concealed mechanism;
  • a system of cables keeps the shell completely separate from the stand;
  • optimal acoustic performance of both shell and drumheads;
  • additional emphasis on bass frequencies.
