Multicolor Poplar

his handmade drum set is affectionately and playfully named Ara (the name of the common breed of parrots with multicolored feathers). It has a very particular finish with spectacular, iridescent shades of red, orange, green and yellow.
Multicolor Poplar
Made entirely of poplar, Ara once again debunks what is often said about this wood: that it’s in a sense “poor”; a sort of second choice among luthiers and builders of drums and drum sets.
The sound
A 22” kick drum adds power and precision. Tony Liotta’s Blue Alder drum set was conceived for situations where funky beats and grooves need a robust, full sound.
