his is the ideal drum set for a big jazz-rock concert at Carnegie Hall: well-dressed and with a powerful soul. Never be fooled by appearances, however sophisticated they may be.

Poplar root is sophisticated and luxurious. Here, it’s at its best once again in these segmented technique shells. The gold hardware that goes with it makes it look a bit like Marylyn Monroe: very blonde indeed.
The Sound
A broad response at all frequencies with a clearly defined attack and a decay where the lower frequencies dominate slightly and warm up the sound: that’s the tone of this drum set. It was designed for jazz and also music with more compressed sound.
