Coral Whale
IN A WORD (OR TWO)
huge, imaginary fin-whale freely sails the surface of the sea. It shows its coral red back, then its white belly. It’s thick shiny skin glistens in the sun with each slow leap half out of the water. Then it plunges back in with a resounding thud. This is the scene we imagined when we made this instrument: ash framed by elegant padauk in an interplay of delicate contrasts.

Asymemetries
We often say that we don’t care for symmetry. Every shell is the result of deliberated dissymmetrical ways of combining segments of wood, with the intention of obtaining a result that is particularly pleasing to the eye.
El buss
For the first time we made a reinforcement ring out of solid ebony, padauk and walnut for the bass drum hole in the resonant drumhead. A little optional extra to complement the rest of the instrument.
The diameter of the kick drum hole is the classic 5”.
