The flames
We adopted Shou Sugi Ban, an ancient Japanese charring technique that was used in the past to increase the lifetime of wood and protect it naturally. When used wisely, this method can produce pleasing visual results with ash. Every single part of the grain is traced over with a fine point to bring it out. If we then add a “Tea Burst” paint job and black chrome hardware, the result is an aggressive, decidedly “rock” look.
White ash
The set is made of ash, a hard, medium weight wood. The evident and jagged grain gives it a pleasing appearance with transparent or natural finishes.
