Rebonds B
IN ONE WORD (OR TWO)
his set was made with the intention of performing Rebonds B by Greek composer Iannis Xenakis.
On the concert bass drum are represented, with inlays and paintings, the sketches made in 1913 for a contemporary magazine by Valentine Gross Hugo on the sheet music of the ballet “Le Sacre du Printemps”, with the music composed by Stravinskij. These sketches represent the dancers portrayed dancing with the costumes made by Nikolaj Roerich for the first ever staging of the ballet.

NOTES & CURIOSITIES
Taiko: warmth and color
Compared to a classic tom, the Japanese-style taiko with its thick natural buffalo drumheads, gives that stylistic imperfection that enriches the sound with warmth and color.
Suspension system
Respighi Drums has developed a suspension system for concert bass drums that has a number of advantages over a traditional system:
- a completely concealed mechanism;
- a system of ropes keeps the shell completely separate from the stand;
- optimal acoustic performance of both shell and drumheads;
- additional emphasis on bass frequencies.
