We chose poplar for this drum set. Painted in a beautiful shade of red that we might call crimson! By contrast, the kick drum has natural finish hoops. The kick drum and floor tom were made using the magtrioska, magnetic system that makes them easier to transport. The kick drum, floor tom and tom, like all drums made by Respighi Drums were made using the segmented method.
The sound
This set sounds the way it looks: essential and direct. It’s imposing, almost imperial, and goes straight to the point leaving no way out, thanks also to the significant sizes of the shells.
