EBONY AND COPPER LEAF SNARE
T
otally atypical, unique and out of the box. Because of the choice of wood? Ebony: it’s hardwood and expensive, so luthiers use it for small parts, at best finger-boards, but never for the whole structure, let alone an entire shell. Or because of the copper leaf decorations? They were applied with techniques used by ancient gilders and we intentionally let them dot the dark surface of the ebony with their metallic reflections. A unique snare among unique pieces.
