EBONY AND COPPER LEAF SNARE
here are two remarkable things about this snare. One is the choice of woods: ebony is typically used by luthiers and, because it’s a precious hardwood, usually only for smaller parts. The other is the way the copper leaf has been applied: it variegates the dark, black surface, generating contrast and a visually captivating, speckled effect. The image of a cat is hidden among these speckles.
