The Magtrioska system
All the shells were made using the Respighi Drums Magtrioska system. This involves cutting some of the shells in half. They are then held together by powerful, cylindrical magnets placed all around the circumference of the shell. This makes it possible to transport the instrument as follows:
- The 10” tom goes inside the 13” ftom;
- The 13” tom goes inside the 16” floor ftom;
- The 16” floor tom goes inside the 22” kick drum;
- That leaves the 14″ snares.
It’s possible to transport a five-piece set using only two cases.
That’s undoubtedly quite an advantage.
Opera Sesta
Made for Patrick Semperboni, this drum set will take part in the shows of the symphonic metal group Opera Sesta, which proposes songs from the repertoire of Nightwish, Epica, Evanescence, Within Temptation.
