Poplar Root
his poplar root drum set is decidedly refined. It’s perfect for those who love the luxurious look of root wood and patterns created by grain. They are different on each shell, and together create the effect of a painted canvas. The sounds of the shells make this a versatile set that will give whoever plays it hours of pure pleasure.
Wood
The poplar wood in each stave has a unique, unrepeatable pattern that makes the shells elegant in a way that it’s hard to achieve with other wood. Furthermore, it’s a very lightweight wood which favors an incredible production of mid and low range frequencies resulting in a controlled sound that is both warm and dynamic.
The Sound
The sound from the shells of this poplar root drum set is dynamic and full of presence both with double-layer and single-layer drumheads. With single-layer heads, the sound remains controlled even with high dynamics. Double layer heads produce a darker sound that still has an extremely rich harmonic spectrum.
