Born of necessity
The development of this new line of instruments is based on three main assumptions:
- Select the best possible wood from an aesthetic and acoustic point of view;
- Mount our custom built, handmade hardware made of high quality metal, in this case bronze: quality hardware mounted on quality shells = the best look and sound;
- Choose and combine commercially available hardware in an aesthetically pleasing way at a price that is advantageous to the public.
Spalted Oak
The so-called “spalted” beech is beech that over a long period of time is colonized by a fungus that modifies its appearance producing random designs and blotches inside the wood. The result is extremely pleasing to the eye.
The same thing happens with black limba.
