Leon Lorenz
IN A WORD (OR TWO)
his is a complete set of concerto toms made by Respighi Drums for Leon Lorenz, a young German percussionist who graduated from Munich Conservatory. This set was Leon’s graduation present to himself and we hope that his choice of a quality instrument will accompany him throughout his brilliant future career.

NOTES & CURIOSITIES
Poplar and Poplar Root
These two woods are actually one and the same. The difference lies in the highly decorative appearance of the root wood, where there are eye-like knots and usually marbling. Poplar is considered one of the best-performing woods in acoustic terms when it comes to solid wood percussion. We recommend it because it emphasizes base tones and responds well to the classical musicians’ touch.
